Vaccination Promotion
The Tesfa Program is consistently figuring out new ways to encourage healthy behaviors, such as receiving vaccinations, among the Ethiopian community.
Through weekly discussions of topics relating to vaccinations and bringing Ethiopian community leaders (i.e. healthcare professionals and religious leaders) onto the weekly programs, the Tesfa Program aims to:
- Fight misinformation
- Make the topic of vaccine discussion more approachable among community members
- Share vaccination experiences of fellow Ethiopian community members
Ethiopian Outreach guide
The Tesfa Program is currently in the works of creating an outreach guide targeting the Amharic-speaking Ethiopian community.
This guide will explore strategies to disseminate accessible and community-relevant information. The goal of this guide is to offer organizations a comprehensive toolkit for reaching the Ethiopian community in a culturally competent manner.
